6PPD-quinone (6PPDQ), a highly toxic tire antioxidant 6PPD derivative, bioaccumulates in lipid-rich tissues. 6PPD-Q primarily disrupts vascular permeability (potentially the blood-brain barrier) and induces mitochondrial dysfunction, causing oxidative stress.
