It is synthesized by the dehydration of PGE2.PMID 30129930 It is a primary prostaglandin associated with the osteoblastsPMID 6441189 and may induce pulmonary hypertension.PMID 7977770 PGB2 is also reported to inhibit glucagon stimulated glycogenolysis and forskolin-stimulated adenylate cyclase activity in plasma membranes.PMID 2158311
